DT is excited to welcome Amb. (ret) Dawn M. Liberi as the newest member of our Advisory Council. Ms. Liberi has vast experience in development, beginning her career in Africa managing community development, HIV/AIDS, and microfinance programs for twenty years. After serving as the USAID Mission Director in Nigeria and Uganda, she transitioned to stabilization and civilian-military integration work in 2005 where she served as USAID Mission Director in Iraq and the Senior Development Advisor to the Commander of the U.S. Central Command. Serving as the civilian equivalent of the Commanding General in Afghanistan, Ms. Liberi was responsible for the coordination of over 20,000 civilian and military staff. Most recently, Ms. Liberi served as the Ambassador to Burundi. She is a career member of the Senior Foreign Service, class of Career Minister. DT looks forward to learning from and utilizing Ms. Liberi’s counsel and deep expertise in our operations and programs.
