DT personnel include professionals with development, diplomatic, and military experience, providing a thorough understanding of the organizational cultures unique to each sector. For the military, DT provides training and strategic advice on how to better engage civilian populations and agencies, analyze civil information, and conduct effective population-centric operations. For civilian agencies and NGOs, DT provides services that include how to participate effectively in military planning and operations, conduct programming in areas where security forces are operating, and coordinate with the military while preserving mission principles.

DT’s specific training programs with military and civilian sectors cover a range of topics including: U.S. foreign policy objectives in specific geographical regions, democracy promotion, humanitarian assistance, principles of development, working in a diplomatic community, civil society, media training, and conflict resolution. DT has partnered with the U.S. Department of State, USAID, the U.S. Institute of Peace, NGOs, academic institutions, and others to design and deliver up-to-date and tailored instruction. Our services can be designed as pre-deployment training for military and civilians or as professional development programs.
