Paul McKinney is an analyst for DT's research, stabilization, and CVE programs in the Middle East and North Africa. He currently supports programs in this region on behalf of the U.S. State Department, USAID/Office of Transition Initiatives, and German Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Prior to joining DT, Paul served in the military where he deployed overseas as a team leader in a joint interagency task force. Upon leaving the military, he held internships on the United States Senate Committee on Foreign Relations and at USAID’s Center of Excellence on Democracy, Human Rights and Governance (DRG Center).
Paul graduated from The George Washington University with a B.A. in International Affairs. In his spare time, Paul enjoys playing, coaching, and watching tennis, making his mother’s chili, and learning new Arabic idioms.
